really excited about this
this past weekend rachel and i headed down to san jose for a surprise birthday party. half of us were playing flip cup while the other watched intense battles on the beer pong table. at breaks, we’d watch the elite eight showdowns. i saw all my college teams lose in our tournament pool…when people started to clear out we headed to the boiling crab for dinner (i wouldn’t say it was to die for, but very very close). you’ll know what i’m talking about if you’ve been to one. and after a few rounds at the bars, we called it a night.
for some of us, it was our first time over and the suns sets right behind the house. after the clean up, a few of the guys grabbed some chairs, kicked back, and watched the sky for a few minutes.
on the way home we stopped by stanford mall and had lunch at pf changs. once again…disappointing.
everything’s looking pretty good so far on the dqm side of life
rachel and i went to whole foods tonight just to check the place out. i wasn’t planning on spending money, but i didn’t leave empty handed. at the end of the night, i had some fruit strips, yogurt, bread, and prosciutto packed in a paper bag. it’s a great store if you’re rich enough to afford the organic lifestyle.
for example, here’s the bakery. it’s packed with a sorts of gourmet breads baked in house. sadly, they were out of pretzels which i hear are the bomb.
and soon after, we made our next trip to u swirl for some yogurt despite a windy night.
here’s something to look forward to. the 2011 wrx. it’s a bit wider, and looks more like an sti for about three quarters the price.
sorry guys, i’m really behind on this. here’s a little update so far.
roger, mike, and i went fishing a few weeks back at pyramid. sadly, roger was the only one to catch any fish. it was blistering cold, the water was freezing, and we did not have a ladder to step on. after some time, my body got so numb i couldn’t feel the cold anymore. hopefully in a few weeks the fishing is better.
over the weekend, rachel and i headed up to tahoe to meet up with some friends from california. we ate some food, played some drinking games, watched basketball and watched our weekend go by. overall, it was a nice change from reno. oh, and that’s tin’s new audi, it’s pretty hideous.
i also picked up a new 12-24mm wide angle lens. it’s amazing and i’m able to get much more in the frame. enjoy the rest of the weekend.
new found glory is rolling through tomorrow i believe, but we’ll let the hysterical amounts of madness begin now
